We are seeking a skilled EDM Machine Operator to support precision manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining EDM equipment to produce high-quality components that meet exact specifications.
The ideal candidate has experience with wire EDM and/or sinker EDM, understands tight tolerances, and takes pride in producing accurate, repeatable work.
Set up and operate wire EDM and/or sinker EDM machines
Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T requirements
Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain quality
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on EDM equipment
Maintain accurate documentation for jobs, inspections, and setups
Work closely with engineering, quality, and machining teams
Follow all safety and quality procedures
Experience operating EDM machines in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and basic GD&T
Ability to hold tight tolerances and meet quality standards
Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators)
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs
Experience with specific EDM brands (Mitsubishi, Sodick, Makino, etc.)
Wire EDM and sinker EDM experience
Setup experience and basic programming knowledge
Experience working in aerospace, automotive, medical, or tool & die environments
Formal machining or technical training
